Biography

Hyeon Hong, a 25-year-old South Korean violinist, is currently pursuing her A.D. program at the Colburn Conservatory under Martin Beaver. She has won the Grand Prize at the New York International Classic Competition and second prize at the Vietnam International Competition, as well as first prizes at the Ewha Kyunghyang, TBC Music, and Eumyeon Competitions. Hyeon has performed as a concerto soloist with orchestras such as the Bucheon Philharmonic, Sun Symphony, Gyeonbuk Provincial Symphony, MDOP Orchestra, and Seoul National University Philharmonic. She has also served as concertmaster for the Seoul National University Orchestra, New England Conservatory Philharmonic, and Boston Chamber Orchestra. Hyeon has been featured in several chamber music concerts, including at Jordan Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and Seoul National University Concert Hall. Through her performances—whether solo, chamber, or orchestral—she aims to create a space of emotional connection, healing, and renewal, offering her audiences solace and understanding through music.
